5. Logan - Fable III
King Logan from Fable III is the main character’s brother, who acts as the overarching villain for the majority of the game.
He is a cruel and despotic leader of Albion who seems to exploit the kingdom’s people to advance his own goals. However, after you finally manage to dethrone him and take over as the new king or queen, it actually turns out that both of you have the same goal.
You see, although Logan is a tyrant, everything he has done was meant to prepare Albion for the incoming army of a mysterious monster known as the Crawler.
The two of you may have a different way of achieving victory over the Crawler’s forces (provided you play as a good guy, that is), but at the end of the day, if you resolve the encroaching crisis, then Logan technically still gets what he wants.
His methods might leave a lot to be desired, and you might actually find a way to rule the kingdom kindly while also prepping it for the final battle, but that’s beside the point.
Whether Logan remains king or not, the kingdom is still protected from harm, just as he intended.
