10 Video Game Villains You Didn't Want To Kill (But Had To)

3. Jeane - No More Heroes

The assassins from No More Heroes are all fun characters that you'd feel bad killing if it weren't for the fact that they are all twisted killers themselves.

This said, the game's final boss, Jeane, might be the exception here because, even though she is a ruthless murder machine, you can't help but root for her due to her extremely tragic and downright disturbing backstory.

Although you don't hear most of it in-game, due to Jeane's explanation being sped up for comedic effect, before the final boss fight, Jeane reveals to Travis that she is his half-sister and that the only reason she entered the assassins' tournament was to take revenge on her father and Travis after the former sexually abused her and drove her mother to suicide.

Jeane had to resort to prostitution to pay for her martial arts classes and ensure she could kill her abusive father right in front of Travis, so given all that she's been through, it feels almost criminal to let her revenge go unfulfilled; denying that chance at a happy ending.

... Especially when you realize the only reason Travis entered the competition was to have sex with his brother's ex-wife...
