10 Video Game Weapons That Cost Players Everything

9. Ice Arrows - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Ocarina of Time is hailed as one of the most perfect games in history, but all of the fond memories players may have probably gloss over the game trolling the life out of them with the inclusion of the Ice Arrows.

Required for absolutely nothing other than simplifying a couple of boss fights, the Ice Arrows ask the player to complete the Gerudo Training Grounds in Gerudo Valley. Not only does this actually cost 10 rupees, but it is a very tricky miniature dungeon and seems as though some inspiration was taken from the adventures of one Dr I. Jones with some of the obstacles in Link's path.

Nine Small Keys are needed to obtain the Ice Arrows - and that's a very, very large number of keys when compared to any of the proper dungeons in the game and all for something the player doesn't actually need! You can get lost, suffer Game Over screens and even softlock the game in some versions and you still won't find the Bongo Bongo boss battle any easier by freezing his creepy hands in place.

Well played Nintendo, well played indeed.
