Traditionally, Castlevania has been played as either a 2D side-scroller or a straight-up third-person action title, but it's thrilling to imagine all that carnage happening right in front of you. Crawling through the depths of Dracula's castle, plowing your way through his minions with the trusty Belmont whip and hurling magical spells could be the experience that puts the current generation of hardware to the test. Castlevania in first person, running at 60 FPS on a PS4 or XBox One is kind of awesome, as the action is generally far in the distance with the series.
