3. League Of Legends
League of Legends is a popular multiplayer online battle arena, with an annoying acronym. Released in 2009 it has continued to rise in popularity and has recently been acknowledged as a pro gaming sport, with pro players now capable of applying for sporting visas in the USA. One such fan was probably attempting to work his way into the pro status bracket as he poured in an impressive 23 continuous hours into the game, which tragically resulted in his death. LoL (League of Legends, not laughter) fan Chen Rong-yu, in a continuous theme, was found slumped dead in his chair in an internet cafe in Taiwan. Chen's hands were said to have been still outstretched on the keyboard and mouse with the game still running on his machine. Chen's family informed the police that the gaming enthusiast had suffered from heart problems in the past. Police concluded that the combination of lack of movement, fatigue and the cold weather may have caused him to suffer from a fatal heart attack.
