10 Video Games Ruined By Absolutely Terrible Controls

8. Kid Icarus: Uprising

Super Mario Sunshine
Nintendo

You know you messed up your control scheme BADLY when you're forced to package a unique stand for the console in with the game in order to make it playable. Yes, this actually happened when Kid Icarus: Uprising released on the Nintendo 3DS, a silent admittance that the game may have been a tad too ambitious on the control front.

The main issue is that Uprising was clearly designed with its console having dual analogue stick capabilities in mind. Attempting to flick the circle pad to dodge while flying at high speeds and shooting is just completely unintuitive.

In fact, Uprising's controls are so bad that many users who don't have the stand report painful hand cramps from having to hold the console in such an awkward position, clawing their hand around the system in order to reach every button.
