1. Deus Ex
Since Deus Ex was - in part - a role-playing game, there was a great deal of voice acting required, therefore you might have thought the creators would have chosen their voice actors and actresses quite carefully. In any RPG, there is bound to be some acting that feels a little below average - seen even in series such as 'Elder Scrolls' or 'Fallout' - but Deus Ex takes it to another level. There is a wide variety of 'accents' within the game, each as quirky, fake and exaggerated as the other. It seems as if the actors and actresses were - when their character was in a conversation with another character - unaware of what the other character was saying, as they fail to react naturally to what others say. There is little to no correlation between character dialogue and emotion is also often lacking. Even the voice of the protagonist is flawed. As there are frequent interactions with other characters, players are likely to find following the story difficult as they try to contain their laughter - or irritation - from all the poorly pronounced, over-exaggerated voice acting.
