5. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

A third person action game that's a real doozy of a challenge, The Force Unleashed puts you in the shoes of Starkiller, Vader's secret apprentice who he used to hunt down the scattered Jedi throughout the galaxy.

The game actually features a well constructed story, with Vader taking in the orphan child Galen Marek (he did kill his dad, its the least he could do) and forging him into his own pawn to find the last reclusive Jedi warriors and rid them from the galaxy. Eventually, Vader orders Marek to assassinate Emperor Palpatine to fully control the Galactic Empire himself.

While games like Jedi Knight have more balanced gameplay and a more methodical pace, Force Unleashed truly lives up to its name by giving you an array of Force powers like repulse, lightning, grip, and saber throw, along with intricate lightsaber combos that you use to defeat enemies like Rancors and AT-STs, as well as fighting unique bosses like the junk dwelling Kazdan Paratus.

Fans of games like Devil May Cry and Vanquish will find a lot of joy here, as the movement and combat (while not as deep or precise) flows really well, allowing encounters to feel incredibly satisfying.

A lover of video games, Star Wars, and cereal. Thinks Starfox Adventures was really good.
