10 Video Games Supposed To Release On Other Consoles
7. Resident Evil 4
Shortly after Resident Evil 3: Nemesis was released in 1999, series producer Shinji Mikami confirmed that Resident Evil 4 was in development for release on PlayStation 2.
Ultimately, the fourth mainline game in the series went through four iterations before finally hitting stores in 2005, one version of which eventually became the original Devil May Cry.
In 2002, Capcom shocked fans by confirming that Resident Evil 4 would in fact release first on the GameCube, and only in October 2004, a few short months before release, did they finally assure fans it would also hit PS2 later in 2005.
Though development shifted from its initial planned PS2 debut to an inaugural GameCube bow, Resident Evil 4 was indeed ported to the PS2 in October 2005, just shy of a year after it hit the GameCube. Phew.
