10 Video Games That Deserve Sequels

Grim Fandango is one of the most well respected LucasArts games ever created, and likewise one of the most positively reviewed video games we have seen. A truly remarkable and popular experience, many people are surprised that the game has never received a second outing.

The world of Grim Fandango is powerfully unique, and fans of the classic point and click adventure game would love to see it return. But sadly it is almost guaranteed that we will not see Manny return to our gaming screens, and there is a good reason for this.

Tim Schafer, the director of the game, has stated before that as much as he would like to create a new one, the storyline is over in such a finite way that it would be tough to make a satisfying story to come after the events of the game.

Unfortunately, this mindset is very accurate. The game's ending seems like the finale of a story, and to return to the narrative would likely not work. It's a shame, but thankfully gamers can enjoy the remaster on Steam and the Nintendo E-store.
