Why The Difference?

Do you know the old gag in cartoons when someone claims to be a bad chef and the animators illustrate the point by having them burn cereal?

Halo: Master Chief Collection is the gaming equivalent of that burnt cereal.

Based on the concept alone, this should have been a gimme for Microsoft and the Xbox One. Early reviews suggested the anthology was everything gamers hoped it would be, with some publications referring to it as the best collection of all time. Once the game hit the general population, however, a host of issues emerged that revealed how broken it truly was. Crashes happened regularly, achievements barely worked and the online servers were simply busted.

Though some later reviews pointed out these technical flaws, those who went off of the pre-release reviews had to have wondered if critics received an entirely different game.
