10 Video Games That Kill You In The First Level

After aliens invade the town of Springfield in this Simpsons side-scroller, it's up to Bart to save the day. To complete the first level, you need to make every pink object disappear. (Don't ask why.) To accomplish this, you usually have to spray pink fire hydrants and posters with red paint.

But there are some puzzles in Bart Vs the Space Mutants that give no indication how to complete them. At one point, you need to collect money, find a phone, and prank-call Moe to urge him to come out of his tavern. When this happens, you need to spray his pink apron before he disappears. (How did any kid figure that out?!)

Also, if you miss one pink object, you can't progress. Because some of the pink objects like Moe's apron aren't out in the open, most players don't have a clue what they're supposed to do.

But here's the other problem - If this level had no puzzles, it would still be really hard, thanks to the game's imprecise controls and the slew of enemies. No matter how much you love The Simpsons, the most dedicated player will give up long before they get close to completing this level.
