10 Video Games That Launched In Unacceptable Condition

8. No Man's Sky

Deadly Premonition 2
Hello Games

No Man's Sky was so over-hyped leading up to its launch that it would have been practically impossible for it to have lived up to all of the promises made surrounding it.

When it did finally release, and players were not only met with broken promises, but FPS issues, stuttering, and the game crashing on either start-up or on the galaxy map, even after a day-one patch. Not to mention that, in spite of it being featured heavily in marketing material, players could not meet or see one another at all.

Over the following months, No Man's Sky was heavily patched several times, fixing its many issues and fleshing the game out considerably.

No Man's Sky is now an enjoyable experience, but unfortunately for Hello Games, no amount of patching could repair the broken hearts of everyone who had forked out their hard earned cash for the unfinished game released at launch.
