10 Video Games That Let You Be TOO Powerful

8. Batman: Arkham Series

As well loved and acclaimed as this hit series has been over the years, few people have noted the story campaign's large lack of difficulty due to one element in particular.

No, it's not the often lacklustre bosses in Asylum and City, but the simple fact that you’re the Caped Crusader himself.

You could argue that it comes with the territory, but when playing as Batman, you’re nigh-on untouchable most of the time. The game’s signature free-flow combat system, whilst bone-crunchingly gorgeous once you’ve got the rhythm down, allows insanely large chances to account for error and nine times out of ten, you'll tear through enemies without breaking a sweat.

Batman’s large supply of Bat-gadgets and stealthy tricks also make dealing with groups of enemies an absolute doddle. Even when faced with a room full-of armed goons, you're likely going to come out on top without them ever firing a shot.

It's still a whole lot of fun to be the Dark Knight, breaking jaws and taking names, but outside of the Riddler challenges and the occasionally brilliant boss fights, there's not a whole lot to push your limits and make you think like him.
