10 Video Games That Let You Be TOO Powerful
6. Diablo III
The most recent instalment in Blizzard’s immensely popular dungeon-crawler series managed to get most things right in terms of its gameplay. There was a diverse cast of characters to choose from, gorgeous landscapes to traverse and an endless array of monsters and bosses to grind away at. On the surface it seemed like Blizzard was on to a winner.
The only problem however was that you were just too powerful for whatever challenges awaited you. From the very start your attacks can often vanquish foes in one-to-two hits. On top of that, most characters in the game have summonable AI creatures that can make mince-meat of enemies before you’ve even gotten close enough to hit them.
Even the game's numerous bosses fail to be anything more than a minor annoyance as each time you're confronted with one you're already over-powered and equipped with decent armour and earth-shattering magic.
The ease at which you could breeze through the game did not go unnoticed, with Blizzard patching in an Inferno mode post-launch that put the enemies on level footing with your immense power. Although if you’re playing co-op, you’ll still cut down enemies with little no to problem.
