10 Video Games That Let You Be TOO Powerful

5. Dead By Daylight (Playing As The Killer)

The asymmetric multiplayer genre has developed a dedicated cult following in recent years, due to its simple, but addictive gameplay.

One of the most notable is Behavior Interactive's Dead by Daylight.

Giving players the choice to play as a deranged Killer or a helpless, horny Survivor, you're treated to a fun game of cat and mouse. With Survivors relying solely on their wits and running shoes to guide them to safety.

Playing as the Killer though is an absolute power-trip that’s genuinely quite intoxicating once you get into it. No matter which knife-happy chappy you choose, you can down a player in just two hits before impaling them on meat-hooks as a sacrifice to your Eldritch overlords. Then all you have to do is hang around in the shadows and strike down any players who attempt to rescue them.

The Killer’s insane difference in power is arguably both the game’s biggest strength and its most appalling weakness. Whilst Survivors can get a real adrenaline rush from narrowly evading capture, it does wear a little thin when the Killer can so easily put an end to your plans in such a swift and brutal manner.
