This deceptively cutesy rougelike requires more skill to master than most of its competitors, but above all else, it offers swift retribution to those who carelessly bound from chamber to chamber. It's a simple mix of mechanics that oozes deep, punishing but rewarding gameplay

It requires your full attention and wits at all times but will reward those keen enough with one of the biggest senses achievement available in gaming when its over. However, the learning curve to get there is every bit as unforgiving as its difficulty.

So through it all keep learning and meticulously approach each cave with laser like focus and you'll feel the improvement. But constantly, out of nowhere your brain will vacate the building, for half a second, and you'll eaten alive by insidious plant life. The frustration, with yourself, is strangely what motivates you almost endlessly to keep trying.

Dying is crushing especially when you've had your attention strained by perilous ledges, hungry critters and the unknown working in tandem for over an hour. It's the fact though, that in hindsight, all deaths are avoidable that makes it sting that much more.

You'll always find yourself thinking "if only I'd done that" and that's when this outstanding game has its hold on you.
