The online suite in Rockstar's Mammoth Grand Theft Auto V is a playground for the fans to show off their lavish rewards for countless hours of playing. The main source of income for the criminals infesting online Los Santos is pulling off increasingly audacious heists.

These heists are complex, multiple stage affairs. Whether it's infiltrating prisons, stealing getaway vehicles or simple reconnaissance there's plenty of work to do. Work that can be doubled depending on your ability to shoot.

One ever present factor in these missions is the unforgiving checkpoint system. All players involved need to be aware of their jobs, otherwise a punishing repeat of the last thirty minutes is not unheard of.

Failing here can mean party members leaving, not fulfilling their role, and the heist going sideways due to the sheer amount of repeat work required.

However, the delopers did a fantastic job of building up the significance of each heist with appropriately themed preparation jobs which go a long way to justify the punishment in some ways.

Ultimately the act of finally carrying out the job feels tense, climactic and rewarding. The sheer polish of it all works in tandem on every level... especially with the right crew.
