10 Video Games That Make You Rethink Time And Space
8. Antichamber
I will do my best to explain Antichamber to you, but... honestly, no promises. When you have a game that makes use of multistable perception and messes about with Euclidian space, it's going to be a toughy.
However, don't let that put you off.
Antichamber is a game that doesn't need to just be played but also experienced. Does that sound pretentious? Of course it does, but doesn't make it any less true.
Another first person puzzler, again with a physics manipulation gun obtained some ways through, Antichamber doesn't sound too drastic from the rest. That is, until you start playing it. The aforementioned use of the mathematical and scientific principles above makes for an absolute fiend of a game when it gets going.
It's also helped by having some of the most insane visuals on display, too. At first glance, they don't look too imposing. But when you get going, brace yourself.
Think the colour sequence from 2001: A Space Odyssey and visuals from indie film Beyond the Black Rainbow, and you have a fraction of the mind-blowing nature of Antichamber.
