10 Video Games That MUST Return On PS5 & Xbox SX

8. Dead Space

The original Dead Space presented an atmospheric yet grotesque masterclass in fusing the survival horror, puzzle, and action genres.

Taking as much from its stylistic forebearers as it did terrifying sci-fi films like Alien and Event Horizon, the game drew praise for every aspect imaginable – including its superb music and sound design – and deservedly became regarded as one of the greatest survival horror games ever.

By and large, its immediate sequel fared just as well by doubling down on the grossness amidst turning hero Isaac Clarke from a silent threat to a speaking badass. As was typical for the genre at the time, however, Dead Space 3 lost a bit of the magic due to its emphasis on action set pieces and a more muddled plot.

That’s precisely why a return to the wonderfully horrific world is so necessary, as it would be the latest in a long line of fallen franchises that have gotten a triumphant redemption. Whether as a reboot, spin-off, or Dead Space 4 itself, the experience would certainly make exceptional use of the latest hardware to be as realistic and immersive as possible.
