10 Video Games That Need A Movie Adaptation

8. Onimusha

onimusha Remember this gem from back in the day? You play as a Samurai warrior in feudal Japan, bestowed with powers to vanquish demons raised by an evil warlord. Now have a think for a moment, how many decent Samurai movies have you watched in the past? Chances are that it isn't very many. What sets Onimusha apart from every other film out there is the whole demon slaying aspect. Oh it also has huge ass demon swords with different elements empowered into them. The actual story can take on any form too with any protagonist. Onimusha 3 even had French actor Jean Reno as a playable character, so time travel to bring the film to present day isn't entirely unfeasible. Casting You would need a strong, Asian lead in the role of Samonoske for obvious reasons. Jackie Chan would be out though, he's a bit too old now to pass off the role of a Samurai convincingly. Jet Li would be a good contender due to his work in Hero or Chow Yun-Fat for his amazing work in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Star of The Raid Joe Taslim would also carry the character with conviction Likelihood of this being made: 5/10 As much as I would love to see Onimusha on the big screen I doubt it will happen due to the series being forgotten about in recent years. If Capcom were to revive the series then that might introduce a new generation to it thus increasing its profile and indeed chances of making it. At the risk of sounding on the fence this would have to be at least an Asian production, Hollywood should not be allowed to touch it in the slightest.
