10 Video Games That Prove The Wii U Is Far From Doomed

8. Yoshi's Wooly World

Just in case one adorable platformer wasn't enough for you, Nintendo is hard at work making another one in the form of Yoshi's Wooly World. Just like in the Wii game Kirby's Epic Yarn, everything in Yoshi's Wooly World is made of wool. It was pretty on Wii, but thanks to Wii U's extra horsepower it looks even better in shiny HD. Yoshi's Wooly World plays like a typical Yoshi game where you eat enemies, turn them into eggs and throw them at their mate's faces. Yoshi is actually pretty damn evil. Behind all that cuteness lurks a darkness that no human can comprehend. Dramatic over-analysis aside, there are some twists on the series' gameplay formula. Yoshi can create lines of cloud to walk on when firing an egg composed of a certain enemy type. Co-op play is supported as well for the first time in the series' history, meaning of course that Yoshi can become a cannibal and eat another Yoshi. There's just no getting past how creepy this character is. Yoshi's Wooly World is another game that's due out in 2015 and it looks to be a solid entry in the series. Just don't think about the implications of Yoshi's antics too much.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
