10 Video Games That REALLY Should've Been Cancelled

2. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

TOO HUMAN
Rocksteady

In the climax of Batman: Arkham Origins, it was implied a Suicide Squad spin-off was on the horizon. However, that ship seemingly sailed in 2016 when WB Games Montreal announced on Kotaku that the project was scrapped.

Rather than leaving SS there, Rocksteady decided to have another crack at it, which led to the creation of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. At first, hearing the creators of the Batman: Arkham were headlining this spin-off sounded reassuring.

However, anticipation dried up as soon as it was confirmed KTJL would be a live-service looter shooter. The promotions didn't help either, since the game looked like a Fortnite clone with a DC skins slapped on. When the demos showed off glitchy gameplay, repetitive action, and an excessive focus on crafting, the gaming community were confused why this dumpster fire hadn't been cancelled a dozen times over.

Against the odds, Kill the Justice League proved to be worse and less successful than anyone could've fathomed. Even if it didn't have a disastrously buggy debut (which it did), there's simply not enough engaging content to keep the most devoted comics fan satisfied. At its peak, Kill the Justice League never had more than 14,000 players. Sometimes, the numbers were only in the double digits.

If Rocksteady left the cancelled property alone, they could've avoided a massive stain on their otherwise perfect record.
