10 Video Games That Reused Bosses (And Made Them BETTER)

5. Field Marshal (Halo: Reach)

Halo reach
Bungie

Halo 5: Guardians had the Warden Eternal, who would certainly qualify for part of this article. You do definitely fight him multiple times. However given the strategy used to fight him, the fact that he often just throws clones of himself at you to die, the lacklustre way he’s ultimately defeated, and the fact Halo has a much better example - we’ll just ignore the Warden for now.

The unnamed Sangheili Field Marshal in Halo: Reach is a constant antagonist of Noble Team. When you first encounter him he runs away as soon as you get his shields down, leaving you to mop up the rest of his goons. Throughout the course of the game he and his goons manage to kill several members of Noble Team, with him personally taking out the group’s second-in-command with a Needle Rifle.

The final time you fight him occurs when Noble Six is the last surviving member of the team. After killing the Field Marshal’s goons, you finally get the chance to go toe-to-toe with him and avenge your fallen comrades. Such a good feeling when you can finally finish him off.
