7. God Of War 3 - Walking Piggy Banks
Before the "serious" reboot in 2018, God of War saw angry protagonist Kratos on the absolute warpath throughout. On his quest for revenge/deicide/whatever knarks him that game, anyone is fair game.
Or should that be fare game...
In earlier GoW's, coloured orbs are the essence of currency, magic and life. Mostly, red orbs as payment are earnt from smashing enemies about, or heaps found in chests.
Green ones, the healing type, are also accrued by the same method.
Yet sometimes, Kratos might be at full health, but feeling a little light in the pockets of his pteruges. So, woe betide anyone stood near him if he's not far off a Chains of Olympus upgrade.
It's not always a given, and there are better ways of farming orbs, but given that Kratos inevitably breaks everything, what's the occasional Greek piggy bank gonna hurt?
The same goes with life and magic, making you wonder how much people keep about their tunics. There's no morality meter in the series, so players are free to go nuts and kill whoever.
You know those upgrades are worth the bloodshed.
