10 Video Games That Reward You For Killing NPCs

5. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - The Dark Arts

Another Soulsborne, but before you raise pitchforks and cry repetition, this one's slightly different.

For one, the NPC's in Sekiro are quite helpful and two, this one doesn't involve Wolf directly ending their life. It's completely extra, but not without reward.

Nestled in the Abandoned Dungeon lies a physician named Doujun. The shady doctor is after some "fine specimens" to work on. Sekiro can ignore him, or end him for a few experience points.

Or, he can indulge the twisted theory.

Sending either the warrior Jinzaemon or peaceful monk Kotaro to him sees them meet a grizzly fate. Seems a bit unnecessary, but there is a reward from it.

Like any Souls game, Sekiro lets you experiment a wee bit against the norm. Not as drastic as Bloodborne's beast mode, the reward of Red Wax grants some "danger" buffs to mix it up.

Eschewing resurrections, which is brave, it makes Wolf sturdier in combat. So at the risk of not having a second chance, it means players can be more aggressive as they fight.

Doujin's is a stronger wax, for those that really want to test their combat mettle. At the expense of your fellow man.
