10 Video Games That Should Have Ended Differently

9. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Lose The Blue Guys & Super-Powered Lazarevic

Uncharted Lazarevic
Naughty Dog

No one liked it when the first Uncharted suddenly shifted gears and introduced reanimated undead Spanish zombies, yet Naughty Dog tried again in part two. This time with muscly, blue-skinned warrior... things.

They don't talk or really impact the group too much (despite, y'know, being the only survivors of Shambala - and supernatural ones at that), as we're thrown into instant-death gunfights instead. Worse yet is how this feeds into the final fight, as Bond villain reject Lazarevic starts shooting up on the blue stuff too - turning himself into a walking one-hit-kill machine.

Downing the beast means shooting some specific sacks of goop on the walls, but the entire fight just felt so "off", compared to everything beforehand.

The solution isn't the most high-octane, but to play into how much Uncharted 2 began to feel more like a platformer. Even if it came down to an excruciatingly precise number of memorised leaps and dodge-rolls, make it so the only path to Lazarevic was dodging grenades and gunfire until you could leap straight on top of him, triggering the final cutscene.
