10 Video Games That Start With The Final Boss

8. Undertale

Undertale is an incredibly deep and deconstructive game, and what this will mean for you straight away is that things aren't always what they seem.

Case in point: A character named Flowey the Flower is actually the game's biggest murderous psychopath.

As the first major character you meet in the game, Flowey greets you warmly, then begins to explain the game's mechanics to you. His words are all a ruse, however, lulling into a false sense of security and backing you into a corner. It's then that he clarifies the true nature of the world you're in: "It's kill or be killed".

His appearances are sparse from that point on, but one encounter you'll never be able to forget is the game's finale, in which he will become the monstrous entity known as Photoshop Flowey, and wipe the absolute floor with you.

True Undertale veterans will know that this is the Neutral ending of the game; the only one of three to offer Flowey up to you as the true final boss.

Considering that this is the most common ending for first-time players to see - it's both satisfying and chilling to see the demonic plant's story come full circle like this.
