10 Video Games That Take Multiple Playthroughs For The TRUE EXPERIENCE
6. Resident Evil 2
There's perhaps only one thing which the original version of Resident Evil 2 did better than Capcom's fantastic remake, and that's its A/B scenario system.
The survival horror masterpiece allows players to take control of either Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield, but beating the game with one character is really only seeing half the story - or if you're a strident completionist, a quarter.
Basically, Resident Evil 2 has four playable core scenarios - beating the "A" campaign for one character unlocks a paired "B" campaign for the other.
If you start the game by playing through Leon A, you'll then unlock Claire B, which depicts the game's events from Claire's unique perspective.
More to the point, actions made by the player in scenario A will be reflected in B, such as any enemies you left alive still being there.
And if you really want to get the most out of it, you can then play the scenarios flipped, making for a grand total of four playable campaigns to see everything Resident Evil 2 has to offer.
