Recommended By: Riko J. Amado - "I remember way back when "Godzilla: Save the Earth" came out. At last! A good Godzilla game. In 3-D! For the PS2! A couple of monster fights, a few weird mini-games and one abrupt "nooo!!! Ending later, and.....seriously? That was it? What a jip!"

Godzilla: Save The Earth is a fighting game released on the Xbox and PlayStation 2 back in 2004. The game put players in control of monsters who slugged it out while destroying the cities that make up the arenas. Players could control Godzilla, Baragon, Jet Jaguar, Moguera, SpaceGodzilla, Mothra, and Megaguirus.

The game has a story mode you can play through as you beat the crap out of monsters, but a huge chunk of the plot was dumped before the game was published. Fights last up to about five minutes, which is actually long for a fighting game, and the bulk of the story only plays out if you beat the game on expert mode, which triggers a cutscene of Space Godzilla getting trapped in a wormhole.

Godzilla: Save The Earth received generally positive reviews, and players enjoyed the title, if only for a short time. For most gamers, it takes only about three hours to beat the main storyline in the game. If you add in all the extras, the game can go for a little under four hours, but that's it.
