10 Video Games That Were Utter Embarrassments For Their Franchises

8. Bomber Man Act Zero

Now when you think Bomberman, what’s the first thing that comes into your head? A cute Japanese game about a little guy running around in an arena blowing up walls and little monsters, right? However, that’s not what we got with Bomberman Act Zero.

Wanting a big hit on the Xbox 360 Hudson Soft changed the tone to be gritty and edgy to try and get something the western market would like. They were very wrong.

Alongside a new, post-apocalyptic setting, the Bomberman fans came to love was transformed into generic-looking robot. This was enough of a change to make this list, however, the biggest kick to fans was the lack of local multiplayer. This was what people enjoyed most the Bomberman games: being able to play with friends and bomb each other. Yet now with the online shutdown, you can't play Act Zero with friends. Granted not that you'd want to.

The only redeeming thing you can say about this is that they tried something different to mould Bomberman into a next generation hit , but clearly it backfired. The average Bomberman game sells a million or so copies and this barely pulled in 20,000.

Bomberman is doing fine these days but he still tries to forget his edgy phase.
