10 Video Games That Will Disappoint You In 2019

8. Far Cry: New Dawn

The brand new Far Cry game comes a little too soon after the great Far Cry 5. New Dawn was revealed in December at The Game Awards, and it is something of a spiritual successor to Far Cry 5.

As you now know, spoilers be damned, Far Cry 5 ended with antagonist Joseph Seed detonating a nuke in a shocking twist. Rather than opting for a gritty, post-apocalyptic take on the Far Cry series, Ubisoft Montreal instead went for a bright, colourful look that is unlike anything we've seen.

Well, it would be like unlike anything we'd seen... if Rage 2 wasn't announced just prior to E3.

Rage 2 was something of a shock from Bethesda, but the game itself looks incredibly fun; marrying Avalanche's Mad Max car combat with ID's furious gunplay. New Dawn on the other hand looks like yet another Far Cry game, with pretty much nothing setting it apart. While the open world looks fun, releasing in the already overflowing February, in relatively close proximity to both Far Cry 5 and Rage 2, and a greater emphasis on multiplayer, ensure New Dawn will be left in the forgotten basket.
