10 Video Games That Wasted Their Ludicrous Budgets On Terrible Levels

1. Bioshock Infinite €“ Lady Comstock

There's so much to love in BioShock Infinite €“ the picturesque setting; the emotional thrillride of a story; or the relationship between the two central characters Elizabeth and Booker. One section that is almost impossible to love though comes late on in the game, when you're introduced to the ghostly Lady Comstock. It turns out that Lady Comstock hasn't adapted well to the afterlife; she's become a Siren, an enemy with the ability to possess dead bodies and bring them back to life under her control. This leads to the most annoying boss battle in the game as you take potshots at Lady Comstock's seemingly limitless health while she sends wave after wave of goons at you. Eventually, you'll run out of ammo and have to sprint around the battlefield to scavenge for supplies, clinging to your last slice of health desperately. The best part about this fight? You don't just get to face it once. You'll fight Lady Comstock THREE TIMES to progress through this section of the game and each time she provides a completely unfair challenge for you. If you're playing on 1999 Mode, it's even worse due to your attacks doing less damage. If you've haven't got around to finishing Bioshock Infinite due to this section of the game, I completely understand €“ it's an absolute nightmare (although you really should finish the game off, it's amazing). The Lady Comstock section of the game is the only blemish on this remarkable game but it's a huge, ugly one. So there you have it €“ ten big budget games with a terrible section or level that makes you wonder what the developers were thinking. Any more examples to add to the discussion? I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
