Perhaps some of the most highly regarded games of all time, The Legend of Zelda series maintains a degree of polish, immaculate level design and immersive worlds that many games struggle to capture.

The world of Hyrule is rich of lore, character and charm. Every corner is packed full of surprises that further increase our love for the franchise in many ways.

What The Legend of Zelda has done though, is create multiple iterations over its lifespan, ultimately confusing the player base to what the actual timeline is.

We have mature entries such as Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess, which completely contrasted against the childlike iterations such as Wind Waker and The Phantom Hourglass. It's a stark contrast that has ultimately left fans puzzled.

Do these all take place in the same timeline? Which games merge into one another as many often pose as contradictions for the other. Many have even took online to attempt to piece together timelines, deciphering the true meaning of it all.

While it may be hard to figure out the true series of events that Zelda poses, each entry no doubt builds upon the last to make for exhiliarting adventures.
