10 Video Games We LOVE (But Nobody Understands)

3. Alan Wake

bioshock infinite ending
Remedy Entertainment

I challenge anyone to give me a definitive answer on what the ending of Alan Wake is all about. Me and my friends have debated for years the ramifications of it all, each with different options -- none seem to be the right answer.

Alan Wake is an incredible game. One that was unfortunately overshadowed by the release of the goliath, Red Dead Redemption. It's one of the most unique stories that truly embraces the inspiration of Twin Peaks and The Twilight Zone.

It's all about a writer who's creations appear to be haunting him and dragging him into a supernatural world. It's filled with intrigue, mystery and horror-survival action.

But that ending. Without spoiling anything, it changes everything up to that point on its head and creates an explosion of confusion, which has sparked topics of conversation for years now.

To add insult to injury, Control -- the latest game by developers, Remedy -- seems to tie into the world of Alan Wake, further confusing the entire plotline.

How this will interweave, we're yet to fully see due to the fact the DLC merging the two isn't out yet. But hopefully it will provide answers that both parties are seeking.
