10 Video Games Where Everyone Can Die

9. Final Fantasy Tactics

Until Dawn
Square Enix

With most games that include a permadeath system, usually, if the health bar hits zero, that character is DEAD, no ifs ands or buts. But Final Fantasy Tactics went in a more lenient direction. Not VERY lenient, granted, but lenient all the same.

Final Fantasy Tactics' permadeath works on a timer system. If a unit goes down, they're out of the fight. If you manage to get a phoenix down to them within three turns, that unit returns. If you don't, well, away that character goes.

This one is lower on the list due to the decent amount of time the player is given to undo the damage done, but suffice to say, if you aren't very good at turn-based strategy games, then you may end up losing all of your units, because this game WILL hold your feet to the fire on that one.
