2008's divisive Star Wars game put you in the shoes of Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Starkiller, and had you become a one-man wrecking ball across the galaxy.

After too many plot twists and turns to mention, you find yourself being used as a means to an end by your master in order to expose the empire's enemies. Gamers tough it through a climax that has you battling the dark lord of the sith himself, emperor Palpatine, and after this final fight, they eventually win.

However, the Emperor releases a final attack that kills Starkiller and the two main villains look over his corpse and contemplate whether he will be a martyr or not. We later find out in the sequel he didn't.

It's revealed in the next game this is canon and a clone of Starkiller gets made that stirs up more trouble effectively making his death here near pointless.

In the end, a lot of rebellion leaders, Jedi, and innocent people are killed off and our main hero snuffs it after causing it all.

Pretty bleak for the 'light side' choice that's supposedly the good ending of the game.
