10 Video Games Where The Villain Had Better Abilities

7. Vahram - Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is 2024's big pleasant gaming surprise so far - a game few were particularly excited for pre-release, and yet which proved itself to be a worthy, unexpected entry into the hit franchise.

Over the course of the story, it's eventually revealed that the real villain is Vahram, the ultra-powerful leader of the Immortals. And honestly, even once you've defeated him at the end of the game, the feeling remains that he still had that one special ability you wish you did.

Despite prior Prince of Persia games being popularised by the protagonist's ability to rewind time, new hero Sargon isn't actually able to manipulate time at will.

Rather, that power is afforded to Vahram, who during his several encounters with the player demonstrates his temporal mastery by straight-up moving you through the flow of time, leaving you unable to attack him.

It's an awesome power, and one players likely would've expected to have for themselves in a Prince of Persia game, and yet it's reserved exclusively for the villain. We can only hope it might be introduced as a mechanic for Sargon in a potential sequel.
