10 Video Games Where The Villain Had Better Abilities

6. Pyramid Head - Silent Hill 2

It admittedly isn't hard to have better abilities than the protagonists of the Silent Hill games, given that their existence is largely predicated on running, firing guns, and not a whole lot else.

And so it's hardly a shocking revelation that Silent Hill 2's protagonist James Sunderland can't help but look like a pathetic meat-sack compared to the series' villainous mascot, Pyramid Head.

Besides the undeniably awesome ability of having a pyramid for a head, he periodically stalks the player with a giant butcher's knife which he sure as hell ain't making any pastrami sandwiches with.

He's one of those villains you can really only stare at in awe - but not for too long, of course.

And while we can presently only lament that we've never been able to don the butcher's apron for ourselves, recent rumours suggest that the upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2 might feature a section where Pyramid Head is playable.

Fingers, toes, and everything else crossed for that, as little sense as it will probably make from a storytelling perspective.
