10 Video Games Where You Can Betray EVERYONE (And Get Rewarded)
8. Don't Trust Anyone - Rust
Rust is a multiplayer survival game in which the motto is: it's every player for themselves. Nothing is off the table - in fact, if you want to survive and make the most of your time in the game, you’ll want to backstab every single player you come into contact with.
Although you can play the game however you want, it’s undeniable that betrayal is the most efficient strategy for reaping the benefits of other players’ hard work. By pretending to work together with someone and then using their trust to gain access to their base or luring them into a secluded spot where they can be robbed, you can get all of the things they possess without ever having to do any actual work.
This kind of behavior is honestly expected in Rust, as there’s no penalty for abusing your fellow man’s trust, and you do get rewarded with quite a fair share of valuable items from your victim’s inventory.
Of course, since Rust’s only rule is that there are no rules, other players are free to betray him at the most convenient time as well, which is why you should always be on your guard.
It’s backstab or be backstabbed!
