10 Video Games With "That One Level" Everyone Hates
4. Siren - BioShock Infinite
BioShock Infinite dares to answer the question: what if you took the worst boss battle ever and the worst level ever and brought them together at last? OK technically the Siren constitutes a couple of different levels but that's a largely technical distinction. Because you'll be doing the same thing in both: following and fighting the Siren four freaking times.
Originally Lady Comstock, late wife of antagonist Zachary Hale Comstock, the Siren is full of jealous fury towards her husband and his daughter, co-protagonist Elizabeth. She expresses her rage in a multitude of ways: a high pitched scream that causes enormous damage and sends you flying back uncontrollably, resurrecting dead minions to distract you, as well as regenerating her health AND increasing her maximum health. She also flies and can turn invisible. After suffering enough damage she'll reatreat, forcing you to follow her and repeat the exact same fight, escalating in difficulty, four times in a row.
I mean really, who has the time for this nonsense? Drop the difficulty to easy and get on with your life.
