10 Video Games You Couldn't Make Yourself Finish

4. Quantum Break

ALIEN ISOLATION
Remedy

Remedy's Quantum Break has a whole lot going for it in theory - gorgeous visuals, an intriguing, mind-bending sci-fi story, and a tight play-time of only about 10 hours.

The problem, however, is that its final boss fight is absolute trash.

Most of Quantum Break's bosses are relatively straight-forward and not particularly challenging, but the final clash with ultimate antagonist Paul Serene is a cheap, infuriatingly difficult test of your mental wherewithal.

You're required to fight waves of Monarch goons while dodging Serene's explosive energy balls, running from a giant red wave which insta-kills you, and then also trying to actually land some shots on the guy.

It goes on and on and on and on, made worse by the fact that there are no checkpoints throughout the endurance trial of a fight.

Oh, and for some reason Remedy put the last checkpoint before the pre-fight cutscene, wasting even more of your time.

And so, many players simply ended up putting the controller down out of frustration and watching the end of the game on YouTube. And who can blame them? Life's too short for this.
