10 Video Games You Didn't Know Had Multiplayer

1. Enter The Matrix

GTA San Andreas
Atari

As much as Enter the Matrix wasn't the most finessed or well-crafted of video games, it did deliver fitful wish fulfilment by allowing players to partake in the series' balletic, slow-mo martial arts mayhem.

But you probably never knew that the game also had a secret multiplayer fighting mode, largely because the process for unlocking it is so comically convoluted.

Basically you need to enter the game's Hacking menu and carry out a series of steps no sane human being could ever figure out on their own, in turn finally unlocking a janky yet rather enjoyable two-player fighting mode.

You get to choose from seven different iconic Matrix maps including the subway and the famous dojo, and though the fighters are pre-selected, getting to act out a subway fight between Agent Smith and Morpheus sure is a ton of fun.

Yes, the move set is massively pared down for the sake of balancing and the controls are an unwieldy mess, but back in 2003 this thing was absolute fire, and easily the most entertaining thing about the entire game.
