10 Video Games You Should Play (Even Though They Suck)
7. Simpsons Wrestling
Of all the possible video game adaptations one could make of The Simpsons, why did anyone think Matt Groening's creation would work as a wrestling title? The residents of Springfield may be hilariously iconic, but they're not exactly known for their fighting prowess.
To the surprise of nobody, Simpsons Wrestling is beyond shoddy. Whether you fight as Homer, Apu, Flanders, Barney, or Bumblebee Man, every brawl boils down to good old fashioned button-mashing.
And since each combatant only has two moves, the scraps get dull really quickly. After you've taken part in a single bout, you'll feel like you've seen everything the game has to offer.
But if you were brought up with The Simpsons, it's impossible not to crack a smile upon hearing the original voice actors saying their catchphrases. Listening to Hans Moleman yelling, "Kill them, you idiot!" is hysterical. Flanders ability to insert "diddily" in every threat is impressive. The way Dan Castellaneta utters every line, you can tell this isn't a pay-check gig, and his heart is in it 100%.
Ironically, every aspect of Simpsons Wrestling is pretty good... except for the wrestling part.
