10 Video Games You Won’t Believe Are In Development

1. The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum

It's a Lord of the Rings game. Where you play as Gollum. I'm as confused as you are.

Unlike some licensed tie-ins, there have been plenty of games based on Middle-Earth, but there's still so many characters and stories left unexplored, which makes it mind-boggling that Gollum is getting his own solo spin-off before heroes and villains you'd assume would be better fits for the medium.

Admittedly, the game is going to be more than just a Samwise Gamgee prank simulator, and developers Daedalic have promised that it will be a deep RPG where players can influence the outcome of the story. The team has a pretty solid track record as well, so we shouldn't write it off before we've even seen anything.

After lurking in the background for a while, the project was recently confirmed to launch on the Xbox Series X and PS5 in 2021.
