10 Video Games You’ll Still Be Playing Long Into 2015
10. Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Whisper it but Sledgehammer might have overtaken Infinity Ward and Treyarch as the Call of Duty developer of choice. That's how good Advanced Warfare is - it's a game that takes a tired old formula, gives it a refreshing new twist and creates an experience that's genuinely fun. By now, the campaign will probably be done and dusted - that's the nature of the beast. However, the multiplayer continues to drag players back in and will do for some time yet, especially when the map packs start rolling out. Excitingly though, Sledgehammer have an entire new game-mode not-so-secretly hidden up their collective sleeves. The beloved Zombies will make a return at some point but this time, utilising the new exoskeleton features. Exactly what that means for Zombies is unclear - after all, it might be a bit too easy if everybody is able to leap around the map and stay up high. Still, Sledgehammer have undoubtedly accounted for that - hopefully the mode is as intense as the World At War original. Suffice to say, if Advanced Warfare Zombies ticks all the right boxes, it will be something players are investing a lot of time in. Who knows - it might even keep people away from whatever Treyarch will be releasing next year...
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
