10 Video Games You’ll Still Be Playing Long Into 2015

9. Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Catching 'em all nowadays requires a ton of dedication but Pokemon is still one of the best RPG series around. The addictive nature of capturing, raising and battling Pokemon never wanes - little is as tense as watching a Poke Ball bounce around while trying to catch an elusive monster. As remakes of Ruby and Sapphire, the bulk of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have been seen before. However, with the new visual style (first seen in Pokemon X and Y), Hoenn feels like a whole new world just waiting to be explored. Gameplay advancements like mega evolution are all present and there's a whole new side-quest based entitled the Delta Chapter - it involves stopping a meteor from crashing into the world and involves a ton of rare, legendary Pokemon; it's well worth a runthrough. A typical Pokemon journey can last more than twenty hours so value for money is no problem here, whatsoever. Plus, there's even more hours to be eked out of the cartridge, simply by aspiring to see and capture everything Hoenn has to offer. These remakes are a must play for those who missed out on Ruby and Sapphire the first time round and for everybody else, there's just enough added content to justify the price; this is definitely a game with a lifespan that could extend deep into 2015.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
