10 Warhammer 40k Stories That Would Make INCREDIBLE Movies
8. Space Hulk
There is no shortage of horrors in the 40k universe and honestly, so many of them are present on a space hulk. To be clear, a space hulk is not an angry green being from a different fictional universe floating around in the vacuum of space. No, A Space hulk is a conglomeration of star-ship remnants and other artificial debris that floats aimlessly around space. Some are so large that they even have their own atmosphere and gravity.
Space hulks almost never contain anything of a benevolent nature. In the case of the hulk known as the Sin of Damnation the Space Marine Chapter known as the Blood Angels learned that the hard way. In their first attempt to cleanse it the Chapter was decimated down to a mere 50 surviving battle brothers.
The film could instead be based on their more successful second attempt, because happy endings and all that. However, just because the ending is going to be a good one does not mean they're going to have a good time getting there. A foray into a dark and cavernous hulk with monsters lurking around every corner punctuated by short burst of combat with horrors from beyond the stars sounds like the best kind of spooks and very reminiscent of the Alien franchise, which is always a win in our books.
