Another casualty of Ubisoft insisting the franchise move forward in time got away from the fact that older weapons are just plain cooler. Yes, spring-loaded hidden blades and electro-shock bombs are kinda fun, but there's something insanely awesome about offing an entire outposts' worth of goons with a bow and arrow.

Introduced in AC III and then replaced with twin pistols in Black Flag, Connor's bow n' arrow/tomahawk combo contributed to that game's combat being some of the most fun in the entire series. With Origins thankfully letting up on the forward chronological momentum, we're free to indulge in the coolest weapons ever used in fantasy.

Bows n' arrows, curved swords, axes, daggers?

Welcome back, oh sweet mythical armaments, we've missed you.
