10 Ways Assassin’s Creed 2017 Could Be The Best Yet

2. Add More Big Bad Bosses To The Story

There's never a shortage of enemies to practice your assassin's skills on in the open world settings of these games. Guards patrol all manner of areas, giving you a nearly endless stream of foes to send to the maker whenever you feel like starting a massacre.

In earlier instalments, and especially during the Ezio saga, this repetitive action was punctuated by more challenging combat against various bosses. Working through the Borgia family as Ezio felt like a truly rewarding challenge, with their followers and lieutenants offering up varied threats and forcing you into different tactical approaches.

This hasn't been as common a feature in the more recent games, however, and the increased difficulty of latter stages is normally just reflected by increased enemy quantity, rather than quality. Adding some more big, bad bosses to the campaign would spice things up nicely. There could even be an opportunity for some reciprocated borrowing from Shadow of Mordor, with the 'Nemesis' system looking like a very tantalising prospect for Ubisoft's assassin series.
